Would a Jewish person or black person…?
be offended if I wanted to celebrate Chanukkah or Kwanza, just to get the 8 gifts….or wear the African garments
if so, why shouldn’t Christians be offended when atheists celebrate Christmas.
I didn’t ask if Christmas has Christian origins…now it is celebrated by Christians to celebrate the birth of Christ and has been that way for centuries…like Halloween purposes have changed also….also I never said all black people celebrated Kwanzaa, but as any educated person knows it is a holiday created by african american to honor their roots…..so could someone like angie and kismet answer the question
It’s like so what if Christmas was pagan celebration at first, it was adapted by monotheists to celebrate their monotheistic beliefs…that doesn’t mean it is a pagan holiday…it just derived from one and is now, as we know it, a monotheistic one…..
