Microwave Recipes of China food :adequate water Meat pie Claypot Rice with mustard silk
Material:
Rice: 200 grams;
adequate water;
150 grams of meat,
skinless water chestnut 4pcs
, 30 g mustard silk,
ginger : 1pcs,
steamed fish soy sauce 1 tablespoon ;
oil 1 tablespoon ;
cornstarch 1 tablespoon ;
vegetable moderate;
salt, amount of light soy sauce.
Practice:
1, wash rice clean and put rice into pot, adding water according to the ratio of 1:1. Pour into claypot.
2, Carry the claypot in a microwave oven, use a chopstick shore lid, put a plate under the claypot in case of the overflow of rice soup, 800-watt microwave high heat for 6 minutes, until rice almost no moisture condensation.
3,When microwave the rice,Add light soy sauce and salt into pork stuffing dumplings,add the appropriate water, whipped in one direction by mixer.
4, Add water chestnut and ginger which has been chopped into the meat and mix them ,and add cornstarch, mix well again. At the same time use kitchen hand mixer’s beat,dough function constantly until the meat and vegetables are not separated into groups.
5 Remove the cooked rice, rice and the oil poured on the plate side, and evenly covered with meat pie, sprinkle with mustard silk, covered with lid, high heat 7 minutes.
6, At same time,boil a kettle of water, add vegetables and boiled, drained the water stand-by.
7, cooked rice, 8 minutes after the stew, remove, covered with vegetables, sprinkled with soy sauce steamed fish and serve.
Thoughtful suggestions:
1, microwave cooking claypot, the proposed amount of cooking time not too large amount of rice suitable amount to 2-3.
2, rice cooking water can refer to their usual amount of water. Do not put more water, some book says the ratio of rice and water is 1:1.5, the proposal must not dogma, or in accordance with the usual amount of water you can cook. In the microwave, or even less water can then. I was in accordance with the amount of 1:1 Drainage.
3, the time provided for reference only, since various characteristics of different microwave power and the need to gradually learn and master their own electrical usage.
4, water chestnut patties of steamed method can be called the home-style Cantonese classic, no Cantonese people do not like it. And covered with mustard silk, a slight increase in salty, even with rice.
5, the meat of it is absolutely necessary water, steam or microwave them will be dry. As for how much water, I usually hit up the meat can be easily stirred.
6, after the meat into the water, be sure to beat to pull its weight, take a piece of meat judging criteria for the thumb and index finger in place, if a certain viscosity, it can.
7, The delicious soy source by claypot rice is usually special skill of chief. As we are ordinary people, enough with the steamed fish soy sauce substitute.
8, When microwave oven steamed rice, the water will overflow, so I use a plate under the bottom of claypot.
9, This version can be cooked by the microwave version today, I like to use microwave rice stew, do not care level of attainment, to set a good time and the fire can be easy.

Food: $26.36 2008 IACP Award Winner!This richly illustrated book is the first to apply the discoveries of the new generation of food historians to the pleasures of dining and the culinary accomplishments of diverse civilizations, past and present. Editor Paul Freedman has gathered essays by French, German, Belgian, American, and British historians to present a comprehensive, chronological history of taste from prehistory to the present day. The authors explore the early repertoire of sweet tastes; the distinctive contributions made by classical antiquity and China; the subtle, sophisticated, and varied group of food customs created by the Islamic civilizations of Iberia, the Arabian desert, Persia, and Byzantium; the magnificent cuisine of the Middle Ages, influenced by Rome and adapted from Islamic Spain, Africa, and the Middle East; the decisive break with highly spiced food traditions after the Renaissance and the new focus on primary ingredients and products from the New World; French cuisine’s rise to dominance in Europe and America; the evolution of modern restaurant dining, modern agriculture, and technological developments; and today’s tastes, which employ few rules and exhibit a glorious eclecticism. The result is the enthralling story not only of what sustains us but also of what makes us feel alive. |

Empires of Food: $11.52 Using the colorful diaries of a sixteenth-century merchant as a narrative guide, Empires of Food vividly chronicles the fate of people and societies for the past 12,000 years through the foods they grew, hunted, traded, and ate–and offers fascinating, and devastating, insights into what to expect in years to come. In energetic prose, agricultural expert Evan D.G. Fraser and journalist Andrew capture the flavor of places as disparate as ancient Mesopotamia and imperial Britain, taking us from the first city in the once-thriving Fertile Crescent to today’s overworked breadbaskets and rice bowls in the United States and China. Cities, culture, art, government, and religion were founded on the creation and exchange of food surpluses. Complex societies were built by shipping grain up rivers and into the stewpots of history’s generations. But evenutally, inevitably, the crops fail, the fields erode, or the temperature drops, and the center of power shifts. Cultures descend into dark ages of poverty, famine, and war. A fascinating, fresh history told through the prism of the dining table, Empires of Food offers a grand scope and a provocative analysis of the world today, indispensable in this time of global warming and food crises. |

Food’s Frontier $16.8 By now it is clear that the techniques of the first Green Revolution that averted mass starvation a generation ago—pesticides, chemical fertilizers, focusing on a few key green crops—are threatening the food supply for future generations. Interestingly, the solution to this dilemma seems mostly likely to emerge from the still-developing world, where alternative methods and philosophies, based on indigenous knowledge and native crops as well as genetic engineering and other technological advances, are still possible. Richard Manning reports on this emerging Green Revolution, pioneering the fruit of agricultural projects under way in Ethiopia, Mexico, Uganda, Zimbabwe, China, India, Peru and Chile. By placing their stories in social and political context and bringing in the voices of scientists, farmers and ordinary citizens, Manning creates a mosaic portrait of where our next meals are coming from and presents some surprising and controversial solutions to our most pressing environmental problem. |

Pet Food Politics: $13.26 Marion Nestle, acclaimed author of Food Politics, now tells the gripping story of how, in early 2007, a few telephone calls about sick cats set off the largest recall of consumer products in U.S. history and an international crisis over the safety of imported goods ranging from food to toothpaste, tires, and toys. Nestle follows the trail of tainted pet food ingredients back to their source in China and along the supply chain to their introduction into feed for pigs, chickens, and fish in the United States, Canada, and other countries throughout the world. What begins as a problem “merely” for cats and dogs soon becomes an issue of tremendous concern to everyone. The Food and Cooking of Malaysia and Singapore $23.09 The history of Malaysia and the Singapore peninsula involves the coming together of many peoples, and this is reflected in the region’s exciting food, a medley of fiery and sweet spices, fresh ingredients and flavours from China, India, Thailand and Japan, to name only a few. The region is proud of its distinct localized cooking styles and flavours, such as those of Penang or Sarawak, and of the different groups of settlers, such as the Nonya. Singapore has been a self-contained nation since 1965 and has an exciting urban lifestyle, which has led to an emphasis on quick, fresh food from hawkers. Lining the city streets are rows of stalls, selling noodles, Indian and Chinese dishes, European-style cakes, Indian breads and a plethora of vegetarian and seafood specialities.The authors explore the culture and history of the regions, as well as describing the cooking equipment, techniques and ingredients used in Malaysia and Singapore. An understanding of the region leads to a greater appreciation of its cuisine and the way that textures, flavours and ingredients work together. The authors focus on using ingredients that are available in Asian food markets, such as the essential flavours of sweet garangal and kaffir lime leaves, and exotic fruits and vegetables.In the main section of the book, 150 classic, famous and popular recipes have been carefully assembled. The dishes are organised into chapters covering the different elements of Malaysian and Singapore eating – street snacks, fragrant soups, delicious meat, fish and vegetarian main courses, fresh and flavoursome side dishes, red-hot relishes and cooling desserts. Choose among this fabulous menu to try glorious coconut and lemon grass-infused Singapore laksa, rich Malay lamb korma, aromatic grilled tamarind prawns, East-West fusion dishes such as sweet and sour deep-fried squid or sesame prawn toasts, local signature dishes such as Singapore chilli crab, steamed ginger custards, mango lassi and other cool, refreshing drinks, and fiery pickles, from the red hot sambal belacan to crunchy, sweet Nonya acar. |
